Blip

At Blip, I specialize in producing and editing short-form video content that drives brand awareness and encourages people to engage with our products. I focus on creating engaging visuals for marketing and social media, crafting compelling stories that resonate with audiences and showcase the company’s mission and offerings.

FOLX Health

I worked at FOLX Health for two years as a video producer and editor, collaborating with our small but mighty marketing team to build the brand from the ground up. I created countless videos for social media and TikTok, helping to establish FOLX’s voice and reach its community. In addition to organic content, I worked on various campaigns that amplified queer and trans healthcare, making these resources more visible and accessible. Here are a few of my favorite projects:

BuzzFeed News

As BuzzFeed News' dedicated LGBT video producer, I had the privilege of creating a wide range of documentaries that highlighted the experiences of LGBT individuals across the United States, with a particular focus on those living in the South. One of my most meaningful projects was a video documenting my personal journey through top surgery, which resonated deeply with viewers and has since garnered over half a million views on YouTube. This video remains one of my proudest achievements, reflecting both my commitment to authentic storytelling and my passion for giving voice to underrepresented communities.

Camp Lost Boys

I first attended Camp Lost Boys in 2019, when I was just a year on testosterone and beginning to pass as male. The experience helped shape the kind of man and masculinity I wanted to embody. Now, I return every year to film and record interviews for the camp’s website and marketing materials, helping to share the stories of trans men and the community we’ve built.

BuzzFeed Video

Before working at BuzzFeed News in New York, I was part of the team at BuzzFeed Video in Los Angeles. During this time, I had the opportunity to work on countless videos and learned the ins and outs of viral content. I discovered what resonated with audiences and what shared well across platforms. One of my proudest moments was creating the video “13 Struggles Only Swimmers Will Understand,” which now has over 10 million views on YouTube.

Hearst Magazine

I spent a year working at Hearst Magazine as a cinematographer and editor, collaborating with teams at Seventeen and Elle. My role involved building and breaking down sets, setting up cameras, as well as directing talent on occasion. I also worked closely with producers, editing and collaborating on cuts to ensure the final product met the creative vision. It was a dynamic role that gave me a hands-on experience in both the technical and creative sides of video production.

Refinery 29

I was brought on as a video producer for Refinery29 to work on a series called “State of Grace”, which explored the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity and religion. I was involved in every step of the process, helping to develop the videos during pre-production, and traveling with the team to film and gather interviews. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was only able to contribute to two videos before the series was canceled. Despite the brief run, it was a meaningful project that allowed me to dive into complex and important topics.
